Meeting a new person for the first time in the hopes of working with them therapeutically can sometimes be challenging. I will do my best to help you feel at ease and make your initial session as comfortable as possible. You can expect the following during the first session:

There will be some small “housekeeping tasks” as I refer to them, before we actually get started talking. You will need to read a state mandated form which lists my policies and disclosure information and requires your signature. There is also a short form to fill out concerning your personal information. If you’d like to have these ready when you come to the office, please click here to print the forms.

We will briefly discuss this information and how the therapy process works. We can then start discussing the reasons that brought you into therapy and the outcomes you may be hoping for. Together we can decide the best way to proceed with future sessions. At any time, please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

In Evergreen, my initial sessions are held in the conveniently located La Plaza Office Park Buildings. The address of the second building on the left is 3082 Evergreen Parkway. I am in suite #2 on the ground floor. During the first visit, you can decide if you would like to continue further sessions in this office or at my private home office, also conveniently located in the Evergreen area. In Denver, my office space is conveniently located in central Denver, easily accessible from anywhere in the metro Denver/Boulder area.
